Tours through the neighbourhoods - Rabelais

Presentation

Led by a guide, the Tours Loire Valley Tourist Office and the city of Tours are offering a themed tour of the Rabelais district.

Under the Ancien Régime, the city of Tours developed with the construction of successive city walls.
In the 19th century, with the annexation of Saint-Étienne-Extra, the city confirmed its expansion to the south. The second half of the 19th century was marked by the multiplication of large urban construction sites that met a growing need for housing. Finally, the annexation of the communes of Saint-Symphorien and Sainte-Radegonde, in 1964, enabled the town to expand northwards.

Nous sommes des habitués des visites guidées thématiques les guides savent mettre en valeur les éléments intéressants du patrimoine quel que soit leur "style". Cependant il serait souhaitable que les visites se déroulent dans la durée annoncée.
